How can we explain wage hierarchies across tech roles (for example data labeling, UX, SWE, ML engineering) without reducing value to skill prestige alone?

If software becomes cheaper to generate and easier to personalize, does value shift from product quality to control of distribution, defaults, and lock-in, and is that a driver of enshittification?
